The Great Basin Street Band has created a solid reputation at a number of internationally recognized jazz and music festivals. All members of the band are well recognized Utah artists; yet the combined ensemble defines the concept of synergy. GBSB plays authentic New Orleans street music. The group is entertaining and musically outstanding, promising an exciting experience for all age groups. This is a great show and a great education for kids: seven different instruments and a fun demonstration of an authentic American musical tradition.

The band has performed at many festivals, among them, the Fidelity Investments Park City Jazz Festival, on occasion, and often as part of the Salt Lake City International Jazz Festival.

In 1999 the GBSB was invited to Perugia Italy, performing as a featured group in the Umbria Jazz Festival. This is the grandfather of European Jazz Festivals and boasts crowds of 100,000 and more. It is one of the most respected festivals in Europe. The GBSB logged 20 performances over the 10 days of the festival. One result of those performances was an invitation to perform in the Umbria Winter Festival in Orvieto, Italy. The band returned to Italy and brought in the new century playing for 7 days. The ultimate New Year's gig.

GBSB has also performed at the Snowbird Jazz & Blues Festival and the Sun Valley Swingin' Dixie Jamboree . .
