How often do you get to dance to a 20 piece big band playing the classics from the Big Band era? Legendary bandleader and recording artist, Ray Smith brings one of BYU's top performance ensembles to the Infinity Events Center for the best Valentine's event in the valley. Great band, classic swing tunes, great stage, great sound, great lights, one of the largest dance floors in the city and dinner too.

Synthesis combines jazz, blues, swing, Latin and fusion styles into a high class feast of jazz entertainment. Some of BYU’s finest and most versatile musicians perform, arrange and compose for this award
winning ensemble.
In performances through out Europe, Asia and North America has met with exceptional success, commanding enthusiastic responses from audiences at international jazz festivals, concerts and dance events. A past champion of the Pacific Coast Collegiate Jazz Festival. Major performance credits include the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Jazz a Juan Festival on the French Riviera, the North Sea Festival in the Netherlands, and the Pori International Festival in Finland.
Synthesis is led by Ray Smith, who is known throughout the world both as a gifted performer in his own right, recording artist, a bandleader and an educator.
